Titchfield Lane BESS

Battery generation connection with maximum import/export capacity is 49.9 MVA. Connection via a new feeder into the existing Botley Wood 132/33 kV substation.

The project involved connection of the new BESS to Botley Wood 132/33 kV BSP substation.

Contestable scope included:

Design of the GRP substation,
33 kV cable route,
Associated GRP 33 kV switchgear and equipment.

Non-contestable scope included:

Installation of a new switchgear panel at Botley Wood BSP,
New protection system design,
Supporting studies (including harmonics) and integration works.

Cannon Power Solutions provided coordination, management, and design assurance across both contestable and non-contestable elements, working closely with the DNO and the client to ensure the successful delivery of the connection.
